Liverpool fans are over the moon with their pair of comeback wins against Leicester and Burnley over the Christmas period.

Against the Foxes on Boxing Day, Jamie Vardy opened the scoring after a Joel Matip mistake while it took a 94th minute strike from Ragnar Klavan to seal the win against the Clarets.

After going ahead in the 64th minute thanks to a Sadio Mane goal, Burnley regained parity through Johann Berg Gudmundsson’s first of the season.

The Icelandic international is having a fine campaign, but as a creator not a scorer. However, it would all be for nothing as Klavan nodded in to become the first Estonian to notch in the Premier League.

Both of these wins show a delightful maturing within Jurgen Klopp’s side. A few months ago the team would not have earned three points, and could have even rolled over and given away two losses.

This is making fans extremely happy with the progress the club has seen over the past few months. Scroll down to see what they think!

There are pleasing aspects throughout the whole XI. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is starting to show his value. Adam Lallana is making a comeback. Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold are continuing to look like excellent players in the making.

With Virgil van Dijk added to the squad and available for the cup clash against Everton, Klopp now has genuine competition for places and that can only be a good thing.

Liverpool are well placed to continue their assault at the top of the table and if Philippe Coutinho can be persuaded to remain at Anfield until the 2018/2019 season, things could look very bright.
