Liverpool left back Andy Robertson had an incredible game against Man City yesterday. Watch him chase the life out of Manchester City:

He’s been getting better and better. This extended run in the Liverpool first team for Andy Robertson is becoming more impressive each week. A man-of-the-match performance against Everton was followed up with, well, another man-of-the-match showing against Manchester City in the Premier League this weekend.

Robertson had many challengers for that title yesterday. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, another summer signing, got the game flying with a brilliant driving goal. Gini Wijnaldum and Emre Can bossed the stellar Man City midfield out of the game. Roberto Firmino was the maestro pulling it altogether. Yet it was Robertson who takes the MOTM award.

The Scotsman was always willing to get forward and attack, using his pace and energy to help overwhelm the struggling Kyle Walker. Ex-Red Raheem Sterling has been in the form of his life this season. However he had a terrible return to Anfield as Robertson pocketed the winger all afternoon.

Robertson was the epitome of Jurgen Klopp’s gegenpressing, chasing and harrying the life out of every Man City player that came near him. And if you didn’t come near him, he would come and find you!

First he chases Bernardo Silva, then presses up to Kyle Walker. Once the ball is played to Stones on the edge of the City box you can see this has become a mission. He harries all the way back to Ederson at the six-yard-box before pressing Otamendi way over in the top right corner.

There’s Andy Robertson in the MAN CITY left back position chasing, unrelenting, determined to give Liverpool the win.
