Liverpool: This is the alternative back four we want against Porto
By David Gate
Left Back: Alberto Moreno
One player who does need a rest is Andrew Robertson. He has started all but one of Liverpool’s fixtures since Alberto Moreno was injured against Spartak Moscow on December 6th. The Scot has become the first choice left back and is progressing at break neck speed to be one of the best full back in the league.
Robertson will definitely be the guy to suit up against Manchester United and so it makes sense to give the hard-working Scotsman a rest on Tuesday.
Until his injury Alberto Moreno had been in the best form of his Liverpool career. That is not very high praise but it was a surprising, and very welcome, development this year.
He has had precious little time in the side since returning from injury due to the form of Robertson. This game is an ideal opportunity to give him a run out and get some minutes under his belt. We would want him to be as ready as possible in the horrible event of an injury to Robertson in the last few weeks of the season.

While Moreno is as capable as anyone of a brain fart defensive error, there should be enough cover with van Dijk in the side to risk giving Moreno some playing time.
