8. It is hard to trust him in the deep role but he was exceptional tonight especially in the second half when Liverpool were protecting their huge lead. Came flying out to block a Fernandinho shot late on. Clearly learning the lesson from when Wanyama pinged one in the top corner from just that position.. Center Midfield. Liverpool. JORDAN HENDERSON

Liverpool. JAMES MILNER. 8. Leads the Champions League in assists and added another one tonight. Klopp loves the vice captain in this competition and the England man did not disappoint. His experience in the second half was crucial to controlling the game and keeping everyone calm as Man City gained more possession and pressed for an away goal.. Center Midfield

7. He had his best game for Liverpool against City in January. He just copied and pasted from that match to this. The first touch and rocket shot for the second game sent the Kop bouncing. Was moved to the right forward position after Salah went off and made way for Moreno to give a bit of late running in the second half.. Center Midfield. Liverpool. ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN
