This clip proves Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk’s awesome commitment in defence against West Brom.

The man mountain has transformed the Reds’ back line since his arrival from Southampton in January and was influential on Saturday.

Van Dijk absolutely lives for the contest and this short video shows his passion in full. It’s as if every goal that Liverpool concede personally hurts the Netherlands’ skipper – which is exactly what you want from a center back. Watch the clip below to see exactly what it means to him!

Manager Jurgen Klopp won’t be too happy with the contribution of the rest of the back four as his side let a two goal lead slip.

The Baggies came back to draw the game 2-2 thanks to a first club goal from England midfielder Jake Livermore and one from striker Salomón Rondón.

Liverpool take on AS Roma in the Champions League semi-final first leg on Tuesday night and Klopp decided to rest a number of players.

But Mohamed Salah wasn’t granted the afternoon off and the Egyptian responded by scoring his 31st league goal of the season.

Earlier in the game Danny Ings opened the scoring after the ex-Burnley man was handed a rare start in place of Roberto Firmino.

Ings has slowly been coming back from a serious of horrible injuries, and last year confessed to Times journalist Paul Joyce that he’s hidden his only England cap because he didn’t want to be known as player who only got one.

The striker was heavily linked with moves away from Anfield in January. Stoke City, Huddersfield Town and Newcastle United were all interested in the forward, who opted to stay at Liverpool and fight for his chance at redemption.

Who knows what next season will bring for Ings, but one thing is for sure: Van Dijk will remain at the back. He’ll remain a colossus. He’ll remain as determined and committed as ever.
