MOHAMED SALAH. 6. Amazingly booed whenever he got the ball. Two excellent season in Rome and refusing to celebrate his goals against them is apparently not enough to be remain friends. Tried hard all night to make something happen but nothing came off. Rare off night for the Egyptian King.. Right Forward. Liverpool

8. Another assist and another huge performance for Firmino who recently signed a new deal to become the club’s highest paid player. He was everywhere in the first half; defending in the full back positions and in front of the back four. Never seen a player enjoy ever element of playing football with such enthusiasm.. Center Forward. Liverpool. ROBERTO FIRMINO

9. He was heavily involved early and had a penalty shout turned away. Minutes later he was on the score sheet. Firmino teed him up and Mane was happy to take it on his left foot and finished with confidence. The second half was all about his effort as he closed and defended like a beast. Made way for Ragnar Klavan late on. Man-of-the-Match. Left Forward. Liverpool. SADIO MANE

Mandatory late sub by Jurgen Klopp to bring on an extra center back. Once again Liverpool concede after they do that. I hate that tactic. Gave away a handball for the late penalty. Awful.

Came on for Firmino. Picked up a yellow card two minutes later.

Nathaniel Clyne – 6

Brought on for Alexander-Arnold to help wind the clock down in injury time.
