After making the Champions League final this season Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is getting jealous eyes from Spurs fans unhappy with their manager.

Ask a Spurs fan ‘Who is the better manager – Jurgen Klopp or Mauricio Pochettino?’ and you will find them backing their manager. However some Tottenham Hotspur fans are waking up to the fact that the Liverpool manager is a class above the Argentinian.

Without doubt, Pochettino is a very good football coach who has given Spurs a consistency they have not had in decades. But he has yet to win a trophy as a professional manager. He has only reached one final with the North London side – the 2015 FA Cup final – and none since Klopp joined Liverpool. This will be the German’s third final at Anfield.

Here is Spurs blogger ‘The Boy Hotspur‘ is lamenting the losing attitude of Pochettino while praising the winning focus of Klopp:

"The words we’ve been waiting for Poch to say.Alas, spoken by someone else’s coach. No gobbledegook about ‘competing’ – he wants to win.No sneering at domestic cups – just regret. He wants silverware, not utterly meaningless second place silver medals. He wants to win and to effect the history books."

There is something special about the Liverpool manager and even rival fans are unable to deny it now.

The connection between Klopp and the fans has always been strong. It goes right back to when fans were tracking flights from Germany in hopeful anticipation of him leading the Reds. Then came his call for Liverpool to shift from ‘doubters to believers’. We’re all believer now.

Watching the manager return to the fans over and over, leading the cheers, it is no wonder that the rest of the Premier League, the rest of Europe, is looking with envy at Jurgen Klopp.

However making other clubs jealous is not the goal. It is not what these players work for. That is not what the fans dream about at night. It is about trophies. Winning. Glory and history. And Jurgen Klopp knows that better than anyone.
