A brace for Salah

Mo Salah walked away with his seventh brace of the season, but this time, it wasn’t goals. It was trophies. The Egyptian speedster was honored with the Player of the Season and the Players’ Player of the Season.

The winner of the first award is chosen by Liverpool supporters, while the second award is chosen by the first team squad. Salah follows in the footsteps of Sadio Mané last year, who was also the recipient of both prizes.

With 43 goals and 15 assists in 50 games, Salah is undoubtedly a worthy winner. He’ll get the chance to break the record for most goals scored (31) in a 38-game Premier League season this weekend against Brighton, which he currently shares with Alan Shearer, former Liverpool favorite Luis Suarez, and Real Madrid foe Cristiano Ronaldo.

In the past few weeks, Salah has also been named the PFA Players’ Player of the Year and the Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year.
