Raging Liverpool fans aren’t buying the line from Thomas Cook about the price of an additional flight to Kiev for the Champions League final.

The official travel partner for the club were offering prices of £759 for a day trip, but released a second run of tickets at an increased rate of £899.

After the company responded to criticism by explaining that the increase was due to the cost of securing extra planes at short notice, fans were left unimpressed and took to Twitter to rant about their feelings.

There was some confusion as to whether Liverpool had a say in the prices, but research conducted by the Liverpool Echo has reveled that they did not. But one thing is for sure, people are not happy about the sudden sky-rocketing price. Read below to see some reaction!

This is an area that football clubs need to step in and help with. There have already been several excellent initiatives to lower prices for fans, who are the lifeblood of any club.
