Nabil Fekir

The talent is certainly there with Fekir, who has set Ligue 1 on fire this season. The big price tag is there for a reason, and Liverpool would be investing in goals and assists.

But does £60 million represent value for money? If manager Jurgen Klopp is looking to replace Coutinho than it may be the price that he has to pay.

The Mirror did a scouting report on the Frenchman and concluded that he could be the star the Reds need to break down packed defences, which they struggled to do at times.

It was noted that his intensity levels can drop, but a pre-season under Klopp and you’d expect that to all fall into line without a worry.

Taking everything on face value, Fekir definitely seems like someone who is more likely to add that quality to the squad. Liverpool need to improve in a few select areas, and should spend the money to bring a first team player in rather than someone who might become one with time.

As satisfying as it is to spend low and develop, sometimes a team needs an instant injection of quality and this is the area Klopp should go down.
