Hakim Ziyech

The Ajax playmaker is a left footer and could naturally fill the void left by Philippe Coutinho. He was introduced to the Dutch top flight as a no. 10, but has occupied different areas of the pitch in for the Amsterdam giants.

People are clearly careful about spending lots of money on players from that league, especially creative types and the failure of Davy Klaasen at Everton will serve as a warning.

His ability is clearly there for all to see, and Ajax are a selling club – so securing his signature shouldn’t be a massive problem.

With 37 assists in 81 Ajax games, Ziyech hits the back of the net less than Fekir. But when you have an attack as good as Liverpool’s, someone to score isn’t a priority. The Moroccan can clearly play though and does have the ability to score as well.

A lack of physical presence may hinder the player though. AnfieldEdition ran a scout report that said his strength isn’t great and a desire to shoot from miles out can be frustrating, although his pressing ability was highlighted as a strength.
