Chelsea fans are sobbing after Liverpool beat them to Alisson transfer
By David Gate
Alisson Becker is the Liverpool number one after his world record transfer. And Chelsea fans cannot handle how the goalkeeper rejected them!
Dry yer eyes Blues! Liverpool completed the £66 million signing of Alisson Becker from AS Roma yesterday and one rival set of fans are having a hard time with it. The Reds saw off competition from Chelsea, including a late bid, to sign the Brazilian to a six-year deal at Anfield.
Many Blues fans had convinced themselves they were going to grab Alisson from under Liverpool’s nose. Much like they did with Willian in 2013 and Mohamed Salah back in 2014. Missing out on Alisson is driving them to tears and it’s hilarious to watch:

The goalkeeper position has been a point of weakness ever since Pepe Reina left the club and Liverpool have spent big on solving the problem. Reds aren’t used to such high-profile, high expense fixes to problems. That is usually the realm of Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea.
The Stamford Bridge side are so used to splashing cash to stay competitive. It is expected that their current goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will be leaving for Real Madrid this summer. Their presumption was they would just buy the best stopper available.
But in Klopp’s Liverpool there is a bigger team, with better players and a brighter future that swayed Alisson away from the London side.
Liverpool are preparing to sell reserve goalkeeper Danny Ward to Leicester for £12 million and are planning on shipping out Simon Mignolet if they can find a buyer in this transfer window. Loris Karius is back in his old job as Liverpool number 2 goalie. That will be a good spot for him to try to regain his confidence this season.

The club is claiming that the summer spending is likely to be over but Kopites are still hoping that a deal can be done for Nabil Fekir from Lyon.
