Is this video of new Liverpool signing Alisson Becker the weirdest thing kicking about on the internet right now?

The Brazilian was brought in to replace Loris Karius after a series of blunders sealed his fate in the eyes of manager Jurgen Klopp, and a strange piece of animated action sorta commemorates that.

Have a look for yourself below, but the creators have had a creative re-imagining of what the Champions League final would have looked like had Alisson been between the sticks instead of Karius, as the poor bloke cowers from the power of a Gareth Bale shot.

And its pretty much been branded one of the strangest vids to have been created in response to a transfer. FSG and Klopp have spent big to capture the AS Roma man and created a new world record in the process.

Liverpool have really laid down a marker of intent with their summer spending so far. Klopp and the board sanctioned £151 million worth of deals during the 2017/2017 season across just five transfers and they have doubled down for the upcoming campaign.

£163 million has been splashed on four players (Xherdan Shaqiri, Alisson, Naby Keita and Fabinho). This shows a clear pattern of targeted signings and shows that there is a plan in place for how to best improve the squad.

With that comes pressure to challenge for the title and win silverware. But with a talented manager and a squad that has added four quality players, this should match the level of personal ambition felt within each footballer.

Liverpool are currently in the United States as they ramp up their pre-season preparation. After four games against lesser opposition, Klopp’s men will now face Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United, Napoli and Torino.

Karius may have a final chance to prove himself before Alisson joins the squad following his post-World Cup break.
