Liverpool fans have reacted to the latest transfer news involving Ryan Kent joining Rangers on loan.
Kent will become the latest Red to join legend Steven Gerrard in Glasgow, the club announced on Twitter.
After two poor loan spells last season, you’d imagine this is last chance saloon for the winger. Kent has been with Liverpool since he was seven years old, but struggled for game time at Freigburg and Bristol City during the 2017/2018 season.
And its clear that manager Jurgen Klopp doesn’t see a place for the 21-year-old in his first team plans. This news may not be a huge surprise for Reds fans, but it has left some frustrated as they’d prefer to see the academy man given a chance.

Kent will link up with Ovie Ejaria, who has played 41 minutes across two Europa League qualification games. Ejaria spent the second last of last season at Sunderland, scoring one goal and playing 11 times.
But even those who rate Kent have to admit that he’s way behind Ben Woodburn and Harry Wilson in the talented winger pecking order. With Wilson also being loaned out, this time to Derby County, it was always going to be a matter of time before Kent was too.

At least those strong links between Rangers and Liverpool should mean that the youngster will get enough game time to aid his development. Gerrard will be well aware of what Kent can bring to the table, and the winger wouldn’t have been signed if the club didn’t believe in him.
Within the youth set up, those are the only three who have been allowed to move away from the club on loan. Yan Dhanda was signed by Swansea City, Toni Gomes was snapped up by Arouca and Wolves signed Portuguese attacking midfielder Paulinho. All three moved for nothing.
