Before the World Cup in Russia, Goal.com named Neres as one of Brazil’s next bright talents alongside Richarlison and Malcom – while also crediting Manchester United, Arsenal, Juventus and A.C. Milan with interest in the youngster.

When you look at his senior stats, perhaps it shouldn’t come as a surprise to learn that the starlet has been named as one of Ajax’s most exciting prospects over the past few years. In 51 Eredivisie games, Neres has scored 18 goals and assisted 19 – excellent numbers.

But the forward also has the pace and skill to make life difficult for defenders in all walks of life, while his important to the side during European fixtures is clear to see.

Transfermarkt value the Brazilian at £22.5 million, so it’s unlikely that Liverpool would be able to pick him up for a steal. But with his age profile and raw ability, it could be an investment that’s well worth making.
