Liverpool were linked with Trabzonspor youngster Abdülkadir Ömür in January, but this is why they should avoid him like the plague.

Earlier in the year, Rush the Kop spoke to Football Radar‘s Süper Lig expert Matt Maylon who wrote that Ömür would be a good addition to the Reds squad.

But in the spirit of balance, we’ve sourced a second opinion. And wow, they could not paint more polarising pictures. Turkish Football News writer Ilker Kasab essentially issued a warning to Jurgen Klopp and Michael Edwards not to sign the teenager.

Reports from the winter transfer window indicated that Liverpool had a bid accepted for the attacker by his club Trabzonspor. But that quickly turned out to be untrue, and Kasab explained why rumours originating from the Turkish press are notoriously unreliable.

However, it was clear that Klopp wasn’t interested in doing any business during January – but could the Reds move for Ömür during the summer?

Well, for a start this is the more likely time for Edwards to bring in players. It gives them a full pre-season to get used to the squad and it gives Klopp some time to bring newbies into the fold.

But please, don’t let one of those be Ömür. Click through the slides below to find out why as Kasab reveals all.
