Liverpool fans are slamming French journalist Frederic Calenge after he fosters fake rumors of a Mohamed Salah bust up with Jurgen Klopp.

For the second time in a week a journalist is stirring up nonsense about Mohamed Salah and his relationship with manager Jurgen Klopp. This time it is French reporter Frederic Calenge.

He is claiming that Salah and Klopp no longer have a good relationship with the implication that the Egyptian could leave the club this summer.

Real Madrid are desperate to sign Salah to bolster their impotent forward line. Therefore it in not surprising that various hacks around Europe are doing the La Liga club’s bidding by starting to rumors.

The journos get the clicks while Real sows seeds of discontent. But it is all nonsense. Made up. It’s fiction. A total fabrication.

Every clip and interview of Mohamed Salah over his entire time at Anfield has shown nothing but a player who loves playing for the club and manager and who is adored by the fans. There is nothing to suggest that any tension exists or that any departure is imminent.

There are plenty in the European media who also want to see Barcelona win the Champions League and Liverpool are the next (and biggest) step they have to face on that journey. Any disquiet at Anfield helps that cause. That is another reason we are seeing reports.

But ultimately it is about money. Millions of Real Madrid fans who are clutching at the thinnest of straws, hoping that a player of Salah’s quality could be acquired this summer. That generates clicks.

There are also legions of paranoid Liverpool fans who will click on an article hoping their worst fears are not confirmed. Frederic Calenge is one journo who won’t be getting any clicks from me.
