Liverpool are planning to resist any approach for Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane as Real Madrid apportion half their transfer budget for one of the pair.

Real Madrid are ready to blow €500 million in this transfer window and reports say they are desperate to get one of the top Liverpool pair of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

The size of the Real budget was revealed this week as they look to return to challenging in Europe and La Liga where they are 13 points behind Barcelona with six games to play. They were knocked out of the Champions League by Ajax in a limp display and are eager to recover their fading image.

Re-appointing Zinedine Zidane was the first step and they’ve loaded him with a huge transfer budget to restock an attacking line that has struggled after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Rumors of a move for Mohamed Salah are back in the press as Spanish media outlet AS has been trying to generate stories of unrest between Salah and Klopp. That resulted in Salah’s agent saying they are speaking out of their ‘as’.

At the same time there has been Spanish media push to suggest Sadio Mane is also a target for Real. That led to the Senegalese striker restating his desire to be a Liverpool and Premier League legend.

The clear rebuffs from Salah and Mane are in stark contrast to Eden Hazard of Chelsea who seems to be actively courting the interest from the Spanish capital.

Liverpool have been clear with the contracts they have handed out and investment in the squad that they have no plan on selling stars. The only way a top player will leave is if he jostles for the move himself like Philippe Coutinho did.
