How wandering David Luiz deals with fluid front three

Arsenal tried very hard to bring David Luiz to their side of London from Chelsea, and now they have their man. But will he solve their problems?

Luiz has come under fire before for his endless ability to go wandering – and it’ll be a test to see how he can handle the fluid front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

All three have now scored Premier League goals and look as dangerous as ever. Luiz will have a massive job on his hands to keep the terrific trio quiet.

The Brazilian is experienced and can be top-class on his day. But he’s ageing and is prone to mistakes. The movement and pace of Mane, Firmino and Salah will be key to Liverpool getting a good result on Saturday afternoon.

Even if that selection isn’t chosen by Klopp, the Arsenal defence will still have the much-improved Divock Origi, Xherdan Shaqiri or even Rhian Brewster to pick up. All three are a threat. All three are a menace.
