Did Liverpool just get reverse Drake’d during their 3-1 win against Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday thanks to LeBron James?

Mohamed Salah hit a lovely double while Joel Matip opened his account from a corner as the Reds cruised to victory.

If Drake seems to curse whatever side he choses to support at any given time, can LeBron be the reverse?

Because the NBA star clearly loves Liverpool and wasn’t afraid of speaking his mind when the Reds tweeted about about Salah’s second goal.

LeBron is right, too, it was an absolute thing of beauty and a strike that shows the King is here to stay and that he means business. David Luiz was meant to provide the rock upon which Arsenal build their defence, but he gave away a penalty and got left for dead by Salah – who did the same to Nacho Monreal as well.

The victory was entirely satisfying because of the nature of it. Arsenal had the forwards to trouble Liverpool, but they couldn’t manage that enough to really put enough pressure on Adrian in goal.

Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk had excellent games, Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold were given loads of room down the flanks to make life tough for the Gunners and whip crosses in while Roberto Firmino and Salah ran the show up top.

Next up for the Reds is Burnley, who have assembled one of the strongest squads they’ve ever possessed and could cause trouble for Klopp’s men if they aren’t taken seriously.

But with a full week to recharge their batteries, there isn’t much excuse for Liverpool not to continue their winning run and take 12 points from the first four games.
