New Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian just sent out the cutest tweet ever in which he highlights all his favourite things about the previous month.

The Reds were forced to thrust the Spaniard into the starting XI after Alisson Becker pinged his achilles during the first game of the season, and the former West Ham man has responded well.

Despite one mistake that cost Liverpool a goal, the reserve goalkeeper has largely performed well and ensured the side didn’t feel the loss of Alisson as much as they thought they would.

And on a personal level, August has been a groundbreaking month for Adrian. He made his debut for the Reds, won his first piece of silverware on Merseyside, picked up nine points and then earned his first clean sheet.

That shut-out against Burnley earned him solid ratings from the assembled press and his gaffer would have been proud of the saves he made to deny the Clarets attack.

Not bad for a player West Ham didn’t want around any more, and it’s no wonder that Adrian lingered around for ages waiting for Liverpool to approach him.

With the international break coming up, the club staff has two game free weeks to try and get Alisson back to action. It’s tough on Adrian, who hasn’t done anything to warrant being dropped, but his position is a dog eat dog world and when the Brazilian is fit he plays.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keeping his cards close to his chest with the estimated return date for his first choice stopper, and recently told journalists that it may take ‘some time’ before we can see him back between the sticks.

The Reds have to wait until the 14th of September before they play their next Premier League game. Newcastle United will try and make life difficult for Adrian between the sticks, but with Steve Bruce in charge instead of Rafa Benitez this clash should be a whole sight easier to win.
