Premier League action resumes this weekend and on Sunday, we have a highly anticipated clash at Anfield between Liverpool and Manchester City. Read our predicted team here!

The Reds have gone unbeaten in the league this season so far and will be hoping to move nine points clear of City by beating them . However, Pep Guardiola‘s side will be keen on reducing the difference between the two sides to three points and registering their first win at Anfield since 2003.

Liverpool and Manchester City locked horns in the Community Shield previously which saw the latter win 5-4 on penalties.

Both sides will be without some important players for Saturday’s meeting. While Liverpool won’t have Joel Matip, Manchester City will be without Ederson along with Rodri, David Silva and their other long-term injuries. Nevertheless, this weekend’s match promises to be an exciting encounter between two of the strongest teams in Europe at present.

Alisson

There’s no doubt who will be in goal. The Brazilian is yet to keep a clean sheet this season and there won’t be a better occasion to keep a clean sheet than in a match against Manchester City. However, it will be a tough task for Alisson as he will be up against the likes of Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero, both of whom have been in sensational form this season so far.

The Brazilian won’t get a better opportunity to show why he is among the best goalkeepers on the planet and will need to be at his best if he is to stop the Manchester City forwards from scoring.
