Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson

In defence, Klopp is bound to make a few changes from Liverpool’s match against Genk. Dejan Lovren could start in place of Joe Gomez while Andrew Robertson will most likely be back in the starting XI. Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold will undoubtedly feature.

The Liverpool defenders are bound to have a busy day on Saturday as the Manchester City attackers will trouble them. The likes of Aguero and Sterling have been in scintillating form this season so far and will be eager to find the net.

Van Dijk gave a fine performance against Genk and will need to be solid. Matip’s absence is a big blow for Liverpool but Lovren has the experience and can be relied upon. There will still be a few nervy moments with Degs in the line up but he has Klopp’s trust for now.

Plenty of hopes will be pinned on Robertson and Alexander-Arnold as they will be expected to defend and set up goals.
