Jordan Henderson provides one of the crosses of the season

Whenever Liverpool announce their starting lineup on social media, there are always comments along the lines of ‘why is Hendo starting?’ It was the same today as several fans questioned Klopp’s decision to start the Reds captain.

However, Henderson did well during the time he was on the pitch. Of course his finest hour came in the 51st minute when he provided a magnificent cross from the right which found Mane who headed in to score the third.

The captain has often provided some really good crosses and today, his assist was probably one of the best deliveries of the Premier League this season so far.

Overall, Henderson’s performance was pretty much good and he’ll most likely start in that right side of midfield when the Reds travel to Selhurst Park for their match against Crystal Palace a little less than two weeks later.
