Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott has been snapped mimicking Man City manager Pep Guardiola and the fans are absolutely loving it.

Liverpool teenager Harvey Elliott has been pictured by the official LFC twitter account in a pose that many fans believe is an impression mocking Man City boss Pep Guardiola.

Last time out at Anfield, the Reds beat down Man City 3-1 to take a nine-point lead over their rivals and eight point lead over Leicester City and Chelsea at the top of the Premier League.

Much of the aftermath of the game on social media was laughing at Pep Guardiola who had a meltdown late in the game. The funniest part of his tirade was when he was screaming “TWICE” to fourth official. That quickly became a Twitter meme across Kopite’s feeds.

Yesterday LFC tweeted a picture of Harvey Elliott making the same “twice” v-sign with him sticking out his tongue. Fans were quick to see the reference. Here are some of the responses:

Elliott has just completed a suspension related to using ‘derogatory language’ towards Spurs forward Harry Kane on social media back when he was a 14-year-old trainee at Fulham.

The teenager has made a splash since signing for the club last summer. He was already the youngest ever Premier League player and has since become the youngest Liverpool player to feature at Anfield when he started against Arsenal in the 5-5 victory on penalties in the Carabao Cup.

He has featured many times for the Reds’ Under-23 side this season and is already pushing for inclusion on the bench for the first team more regularly. Perhaps he will get his chance this weekend if Mohamed Salah fails to recover from his ankle injury.

The Reds play Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday November 23rd kicking off at 3pm GMT/10am ET. We will have all the build up and info on how to stream the game online for free.
