There isn’t a change here for Klopp. I know that Robbo had some comments about being clever with selections after the clash with Crystal Palace, but that was all about justifying Salah not getting the start or even playing against Palace. And not about any hint of him sitting the game out to manage the injury.

Between a weekend clash with Palace and a Champions League match versus Napoli, which is more important? You’d have to think it would be the latter. If Robbo got the OK to play on Saturday and played the full 90 minutes, I’m sure he’ll get the OK once again on Wednesday.

The one change on the back-end is at center-back between Dejan Lovren and Joe Gomez.

Gomez was subbed on at the 89th minute to shore up the defense and to secure all three points for Klopp. Not only does that show Klopp trust him, but it also shows that he’s well enough to play.

That’s my opinion at least, we’ll see if Klopp goes the same way after playing Dejan Lovren next to Van Dijk on the weekend.

The Croatian had a good game on the weekend, perhaps Klopp puts him there to keep his backline steady, but I feel Lovren will be a rotation player for the league rather than to be inserted here and there in the Champions League.

Just like Alisson, there’s no reason to think that either right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold or center-back Virgil Van Dijk will be left on the bench for this match. Their spots are theirs unless their legs can’t carry them.
