Liverpool Player Ratings: Forwards

7.5. So many chances missed. He could have had a hattrick. And then another hattrick. Instead he scored one top quality goal and left us in equal awe and bafflement. He missed a handful of goals you fully expected him to finish – of course it speaks of his quality that he finds these chances – and the scores the one from almost the byline, outside the area, on his wrong foot.. Forward. Liverpool. MOHAMED SALAH

6. Firmino has so much more to his game than goals and assists. He is hugely appreciated by his manager, teammates and the fans. But recently – and especially today – has not flashed too much we can be impressed with. He will eventually. And that will be when we really hit the fifth gear.. Forward. Liverpool. ROBERTO FIRMINO

Back in the side after a game’s rest and he picked up where he left off. Back at his former club, he gave no presents to his former employers. He worked hard all night to help Andy Robertson on the left side defensively and popped over the assist for Naby Keita to put the Reds ahead.. Forward. Liverpool. SADIO MANE. 8

Substitues:

Joe Gomez – 7 – Played most of the second half as Lovren came off injured again. I think LFC look better with him next Virgil.

James Milner – 6 – Came on for Firmino to give the Reds an extra body when they were 2-0 up for the last 15 minutes

Divock Origi – 6 – Some fresh legs for the last five minutes, the Derby hero came on for Keita.
