Liverpool have finished another month in the 2019/2020 season. Here are three players who took it to the next level in December.

Trent Alexander-Arnold showed why we all rate him as the best right-back in the world with a scintillating display against Leicester, while there have been key contributions from big names like Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

Picking three players who had an outstanding month is tough when you have to pick from this side considering Liverpool won the Club World Cup and are still unbeaten in the Premier League.

Every single player in the squad could have an argument towards being selected and they all have stood up at important moments.

Naby Keita started to hit form and had a fine run of appearances that would have done wonders for his confidence, Alisson picked up a few more clean sheets and Joe Gomez returned to the side and did well.

Adam Lallana was excellent against Wolves but his resurgence came a little too late to be included in this, but he will get his chance during January as the fixtures continue to pile up.
