Liverpool take on Sheffield United on Thursday as they prepared to kick off 2020 with a win. Check out our predicted team for the clash here!

Chris Wilder has got his side playing excellent football and the Blades are hard to beat. The Reds only returned from Yorkshire with a 1-0 win thanks to a goalkeeping error, but Jurgen Klopp will be keen to put that right at Anfield.

Adam Lallana started and enjoyed a good game as Wolves returned to the Midlands with their tail between their legs and is tipped to keep his place in a midfield that includes Georginio Wijnaldum and Naby Keita.

There isn’t much rotation Klopp can do in defence but he might be tempted to swap around one of the full-backs for James Milner and keep them fresh for the FA Cup clash against Everton on Sunday.

Sheffield are eighth in the Premier League and have won seven games while only conceding 19 goals from their 20 league games. The Blades are a tough opposition to crack and Wilder has only lost two games in the last five.

We know Alisson will be in goal, so let’s kick on with the predicted team.

The defence are getting on like a house on fire at the moment and are fresh off the back of their fifth clean sheet in six games. Expect another one on Thursday.
