We are packed with big name players

After several near misses, including the Europa League final and the loss against Real Madrid in the Champions League final, Liverpool have managed to build a squad with big game experience and extreme hunger.

Those European disappointments, combined with last season’s Premier League second placed finish, have driven the team to bigger and better things. That culminated in the win against Tottenham in the Champions League final, which has given the Reds an incredible hunger.

Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah are all experienced. They’re all big game players. They all help drive the rest of the side to bigger and better things and they’ll all experienced in knockout football.

Klopp has a new mentality for 2019/2020 and the German is completely relentless. It’s like he knows this will be the defining period in his managerial career, he’s built a side that’s much better than he had at Borussia Dortmund and the gaffer won’t rest until he’s dominated the world.

You need players who know how to deal with the stress and unique pressure that the Champions League brings. But they’ve been through it all together, they’ve emerged out the other end stronger and harder because of it and that’s why they are going to win the tournament.
