Trent Alexander-Arnold

Our star right-back proved he was on a different level to the rest of us watching the game and his team playing it with a fantastic series of performances in February.

Trent Alexander-Arnold proved this when he provided two assists to help Liverpool overcome West Ham after David Moyes’s outfit at the London Stadium.

It had looked like West Ham would come away with an unlikely win but then Alexander-Arnold pulled his finger out and laid on goals for Mohamed Salah and Georginio Wijnaldum.

With 12 assists this season, that double has put him within touching reach of breaking his own record from last campaign. We all think about him as an attacker, and he is, but defensively Trent put in some good performances as well – particularly against Norwich.

It’s easy to chose Alexander-Arnold as hero of the month because he’s so consistent and performs to the highest standard so often, but the way he dragged Liverpool out of the mess in London is worthy of special praise.

March will be a defining month and we’ll know is our treble hopes are still on the line by the end of it. You can be sure TAA will be one of the players driving Liverpool towards a good result.
