Liverpool are playing horrible football against Chelsea in the FA Cup, and is this the last time we’ll see this star in action after a terrible performance?

Adrian made an error that gifted the Blues their first goal of the night after Willian put the ball in the back of the net, before former Everton star Ross Barkley smoked one past the Spaniard to make it two.

Despite selecting a strong team that included Virgil van Dijk and Adam Lallana, Jurgen Klopp’s outfit could barely string a few passes together and looked awful.

But it wasn’t just the attack as the defence was breached time and time again as that high line was continuously exposed. Pedro missed an excellent chance as he fired straight at Adrian before Olivier Giroud struck the crossbar.

There were poor performances everywhere, but Adam Lallana failed to impress yet again. This has led some fans to call for his Liverpool career to be cut short – which is probably will be, if there are no more cup games to play.

Lallana has looked like a one trick pony for a while, and that Cruyff turn of his beginning to look dated as the opposition clocks on to what the former Southampton man is trying to do.

This was a golden opportunity for Liverpool to win the treble while accumulating the highest points total in Premier League history, but Klopp’s side have been awful over the past three games. Losses against Atletico Madrid, Watford and this Chelsea performance have shredded their air of invincibility.

The most worrying aspect of this was the strong side that was picked. Sadio Mane played up front, Joe Gomez and Andy Robertson featured in defence, Fabinho was picked in midfield. Van Dijk played.

Honestly, there hasn’t been that much wrong with Liverpool for a long time. Could this be the last time we see Adam Lallana?
