£21 – £57 million

Dejan Lovren is a wanted man and it looks like his time at Liverpool is coming to a close after he’s struggled for game time when Joe Gomez and Joel Matip are fit and ready to go. Lovren is the fourth choice central defender in this squad, but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t play regularly elsewhere.

Premier League sides still want to take the Croatian World Cup finalist and he would cost them around £18 million. Not a bad fee for someone with just nine top flight appearances this season.

What Klopp does next will be really interesting. Will he trust someone like Sepp van den Berg, who looked really raw in his few cup competitions, to be able to feature when needed in the top flight or will the manager buy a replacement?

Divock Origi is worth the same amount and could be another summer casualty – although his Premier League experience and potential could see the value of this deal rise to more than £18 million.

I’ve tried to stay realistic with the fee, however, and not let my imagination run too wild with this one. Origi has flattered to deceive when handed the chance this campaign, and looks a bit like a square peg in a round hole at times.

With Takumi Minamino in the squad, times could be short for the Belgian attacker.
