Liverpool 0-4 Man City player ratings: Gomez awful, Robertson a headless chicken
Midfield
After his excellent performance against Crystal Palace, it’s no surprise that Fabinho was kept in the side for this game. He made a good early impression, buzzing around and nipping the ball off Blue toes, moved into defence after halftime.
Gini was superb against Palace but didn’t play well here. He was part of the midfield that gifted up far too much space for City and didn’t seem to be able to get much control.
Henderson failed to lead his side in the usual manner and couldn’t control the midfield with his usual authority, but one lovely pass put Mane through but the forward couldn’t finish.
