Trent Alexander-Arnold

The Scouser in our team showed glimpses of his brilliance against Aston Villa – his crossfield balls are nothing short of phenomenal.

He will be tested by the physicality of the Brighton side – Dan Burn starting at wing back stands at 6’7 – but as the best usually do – he will likely prevail.

The Reds have gone nearly eight hours without a Premier League away goal though – and you have to feel Trent will need to be at his creative best to secure that elusive strike.

Virgil van Dijk

The Dutchman doesn’t miss a minute – and will be looking to add to his tally of two against Brighton from earlier this season.

He will be needed to deal with the bustling Neal Maupay, who sits on nine Premier League goals in his debut campaign.

Lewis Dunk and Shane Duffy are also aerial threats – as well as the previously mentioned Burn – so the quintessential guile of van Dijk will be deemed crucial come Wednesday.

Joe Gomez

After a shaky half against Raheem Sterling at the Etihad, Gomez looked quietly confident and returned to his usual explosive, calm self against Aston Villa.

Liverpool have conceded an average of a goal every two games in the matches Gomez has played in – with a 94% win percentage.

In the games without, we have conceded a goal a game and the win percentage drops to a *measly* 81%.

This clearly portrays how important the former Charlton man is.

Andy Robertson

The Scot needs to turn the tide on his performances since lockdown – they’re the worst we’ve seen since his arrival in 2017.

We all know of his quality though and that is why Jurgen will likely stick with him in the Liverpool starting lineup.

Positionally he needs to improve, as he’s been doing his best Alberto Moreno impression in the previous two games. And as a threat going forward – he made little to no impact against Palace.
