Liverpool defence – Trent Alexander-Arnold

After a predicted hiatus from the side on the weekend, Trent is surely set to return for the Reds’ trip to London.

His replacement Neco Williams played tidily but not expansively, and will clearly need time to settle if he’s to reach Trent’s heights in the future – but what a role model to learn from!

Joe Gomez

We say it every week, but he just keeps improving from his disasterclass at the Etihad and is looking more and more like the Joseph Dave Gomez we know and love.

His partner in crime, Virgil van Dijk, is no better compliment to the former Charlton man – allowing him to use his explosivity in tandem with Van Dijk’s perfect temperament and reading of the game.

Virgil van Dijk

Speaking of the man himself, Van Dijk is set to complete his second consecutive 38 game season for the Reds.

Barring any injury the Dutchman will do so, showcasing his real value on the pitch as he spends limited time off it.

Andy Robertson

The Scot performed admirably and got himself on the scoresheet for the third time this season last time out.

The physics of his header still confuse me – how did he get that much power? Seriously?

But it looks like Robbo is back to his best and honestly, we couldn’t be happier.
