Liverpool midfield – Fabinho

Liverpool no.3 has made a habit of really turning up in big games in his Liverpool career, but most notably his first game against Arsenal was his worst in a Liverpool shirt – a 1-1 draw in 2018.

Donning that dodgy purple and orange kit, Fabinho really failed to stamp his authority on the game that day as he was still learning Jurgen Klopp’s philosophy.

Since he has established himself as comfortably one of the best defensive midfielders in the world.

Naby Keita

Keita’s genius hasn’t been portrayed as often as expected on his arrival, but the Guinean is really getting into his stride as this season peters out.

His performances against Everton, Aston Villa and Brighton in particular are highlighted among his best and his next step is to stamp himself authoritatively on the starting eleven for next season, which he is doing consummately in the present moment.

James Milner

The left-field selection for the game at The Emirates – Milner scored last time out in that horrendous kit.

The veteran will be the engine between the defence, midfield and attack – a position which in truth Arsenal don’t cover – which is why he will be utilised if available.
