Liverpool have been implored to sign a relegation candidate.

West Ham beat Watford in a crucial Premier League game to all but ensure their top flight safety, but will Jurgen Klopp pull another rabbit out of the hat?

Andy Robertson, Xherdan Shaqiri, Gini Wijnaldum. All players signed from relegated sides on the cheap and it could happen again.

Liverpool lost against Watford to destroy dreams of an unbeaten season but Nigel Pearson’s side haven’t been too great since then. Turns out it will be the finest moment of their campaign.

However, the side does have some redeeming qualities and there are players who can cause problems for the best of the best.

Senegal international Ismaïla Sarr has got some alarming similarities to Sadio Mane and has talked about how much he loves the Liverpool man.

Both started out at Génération Foot before making the move to Metz and then the Premier League. Ismaïla Sarr got his top flight transfer last August as the Hornets paid £27 million for the forward, who has scored five goals and assisted five in 25 appearances.

Liverpool will need to find bargains this summer transfer window and Sarr could represent that. Relegated sides will be incentivised to sell for attractive prices because of COVID-19 impacted finances, while missing out on Premier League revenue will be a massive blow.

The Senegal international would be able to provide cover on the right, which could free Takumi Minamino as let him play a more central role and lessen the pressure on Harvey Elliott to be an instant success.

It might also allow Liverpool to end Divock Origi’s association with the club. He’s been underwhelming this season and fans are beginning to question whether his time at Anfield is over.

The Reds could make a smart move by going for Sarr after Watford have been relegated, would you like to see him at Anfield?
