Another club wants Liverpool man Loris Karius.

The German has spent the last two seasons in Turkey with Besiktas, but that was beset with problems and he terminated his deal early.

Loris Karius is due to report back to Liverpool and begin his reintegration into Jurgen Klopp’s squad, but his Merseyside future could be drawing to a permanent close.

With Alisson Becker as the first choice stopper and Adrian continuing his Anfield journey, the German goalkeeper faces a pretty bleak campaign if he can’t secure another move away.

The problem Karius might face is his damaged reputation. He was never inspired a huge amount of confidence between the sticks at Liverpool, and his time in the Super Lig wasn’t exactly drama free.

His errors continue to arrive with alarming regularity, and Besiktas didn’t appear to be the most stable home for a player in serious need of a confidence re-boot.

Despite that, Daily Mail journalist Dominic King has tweeted that the Turkish side are eyeing up a permanent deal for Loris Karius – although they face a battle from a team in one of Europe’s top five leagues.

Besiktas are prepared to offer £6 million for the goalkeeper, which would be a surprising deal if they could pull it off. When Karius ended his loan deal, it appeared as if all bridges were burned between the two parties.

However, King added that there was another route out of Liverpool for the former Mainz man. Montpellier want to sign the 27-year-old on a permanent move.

Jurgen Klopp would surely be happy with the size of that fee and will be happy to give the ‘keeper a chance for a clean break away from the intense media scrutiny that comes with being a Liverpool player – even a Reds loan player.

Hopefully this deal can be wrapped up quickly and everyone can move on.
