Liverpool are going to play it tough with Marko Grujic and Harry Wilson.

Tribuna.com reported that Liverpool are in no mood to send Grujic back to Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin for another temporary spell.

He played well for Berlin, and they’d like to give him a third campaign in the German top flight, but sporting director Michael Edwards has shut that down.

Liverpool will only accept a sale.

Grujic has had 51 appearances for Hertha while scoring nine goals and has broke into the Serbian national side – so expect the Reds to set an asking price upwards of £20m for his services.

With the rise of Curtis Jones’s first team prospects, there isn’t room for him at Liverpool. At 24, he will be looking to make the most of his prime playing years, so it’s very likely he will move on.

Harry Wilson has also been linked with a sale, and the Reds seem determined not to send the 23-year-old Welshman out on loan again. He has spent the last three-and-a-half seasons away from the club, with spells at Hull City, Derby County and Bournemouth.

His goal record is good and he hit seven in his debut Premier League season, which has led to interest from as many as three Premier League clubs having an interest in purchasing winger. Aston Villa have shown an interest, as well as Newcastle United and Leeds United.

Leeds United have proffered a bid of £15m according to talkSPORT, but Liverpool have reportedly set a fee of £20m to acquire his contract.

At this point, Jurgen Klopp and the Reds need some quick ready cash to put toward the purchase of Aissa Mandi from Real Betis and Kostas Tsimikas from Olympiacos.

According to earlier reports, £40m could seal the deal for both players which could explain why the Reds are taking strong position with Grujic and Wilson.

I happen to like Harry Wilson a good deal, he reminds me of a young Gareth Bale, and he plays on the Welsh national side. But as a right side winger it’s not promising he’s likely to take Mo Salah’s starting place. And at 23, he too will want starting opportunities as he moves into the prime of his career.
