Three talking points as Liverpool scraped past Leeds – we rely on Mo Salah
Sensational Salah being Liverpool’s savior
The Egyptian international wasn’t very effective during the Community Shield and in the pre-season friendlies. However, Salah more than compensated for that today by guiding his team to victory.
The 28-year-old was by far, Liverpool’s best player on the pitch and had a dream start to his Premier League campaign by netting a hat-trick, his third for the Reds. Salah is just three goals away from reaching three figures with his club and there’s a fair chance of him reaching that tally before the end of September.
The Egyptian will be aiming for a third Golden Boot and if he maintains a good scoring rate, the odds of that happening are pretty high.
Liverpool are a good side, but this performance shows how much they rely on a few individuals to make things tick. Salah is definitely one of those, as if Alexander-Arnold, while his finishing ability has put Firmino to shame.
