Super Sadio shines for Liverpool

As Andy Robertson said in his tweet following the match- “Thiago Friday, Jota Saturday, Sadio Sunday”. Mane scored twice during Liverpool’s first meeting against Chelsea last season and did the same in 20/21.

The Senegalese international opened his scoring account after heading in a pass from Roberto Firmino before cashing in on an error from Kepa to net his second of the match.

Mane was a constant threat throughout the game and was also involved in the move that led to Andreas Christensen getting sent off. He was deservedly the Man of the Match.

It’s good to see Mane open his scoring account and we can hope to see him net a lot more as the season progresses. The 28-year-old will most likely be rested for the Carabao Cup match but will be back in action against Arsenal.
