Liverpool transfer target Ozan Kabak has dropped a transfer hint.

The Schalke defender has been linked with a move to Anfield and has caught the eye of Reds supporters on social media.

Liverpool splashed the cash over this past week as deals for Thiago and Diogo Jota have been completed, while Ki-Jana Hoever moved to Wolves as part of the Jota deal.

Sporting director Michael Edwards has finally got moving in the market and rumours were swirling about a possible deal for Ozan Kabak – who would arrive as a fourth choice central defender.

Fabinho was forced to play there after Joe Gomez and Joel Matip were both ruled out of the Chelsea clash through injury. The manner in which he took to the role like a duck to water could ease Klopp’s concern over signing another central defender.

Virgil van Dijk posted a photo on Instagram after the victory on Sunday, in which he praised the team, and lo and behold Kabak has liked it.

Nobody knows whether this means the Turkish international is moving to Anfield or not, but it does feel like a greasing of the wheels in a way you don’t see when footballers are staying put.

We know that Schalke are open to selling their stars and they are running low on funds. They were also smashed 8-0 by Bayern Munich and the atmosphere around Gelsenkirchen can’t be good right now.

Liverpool is a lot happier place to be, especially with the arrival of Thiago. The Spaniard has hit the ground running and looks to be a truly elite signing.

It’ll be interesting to see how he adjusts to life in the Premier League, while we’ve also got the acclimatisation of Jota, Kostas Tsimikas and even Takumi Minamino to look forward to.

Could they be joined by Kabak?
