Liverpool host Arsenal at Anfield on Monday night.

Just like last season, the two teams face each other in their third league fixture. Liverpool will be entering the game at the back of a 2-0 win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge while the Gunners beat West Ham 2-1 at home.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have ended up on the losing side in their last two fixtures against Arsenal but will be eager to put an end to that on Monday.

At Anfield, the Reds have an incredible record against the North London outfit lately, scoring at least three goals in each of their last six meetings.

The reigning champs seem heavy favorites to win but Arsenal will also be looking to try and beat them in Merseyside for the first time since 2012. Mikel Arteta has a decent side at his disposal who have beaten Liverpool before and are not to be taken lightly.

Now, let’s take a look at the XI that Klopp could start on Monday and don’t forget to give your thoughts in the comment section.

Alisson

The Brazilian kept his first clean sheet of the season against Chelsea last weekend, saving Jorginho’s penalty in the process. Alisson will undoubtedly be between the sticks against Arsenal and he’ll be expected to prevent the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette from finding the net.

The 27-year-old is yet to keep a clean sheet against the Gunners and he’ll be eager to do so when the two sides meet on Monday. However, a recent report from Goal claimed that the Brazilian is in doubt for the clash due to fitness issues. Hence, there’s a chance of Adrian starting if Alisson is ruled out.

The Spaniard was in goal the last time Liverpool faced Arsenal at Anfield and if he starts, he’ll be eager to put in a good show. However, us fans will be hoping that Alisson if fit enough to feature on Monday.
