Inside-left: Sadio Mane (8/10)

Mane was far better against Wolves than he was in the previous game as the Senegal international looked back to his sparkling best. The forward gave Semedo nightmares down the Liverpool left and was just a few bits of poor finishing away from a complete performance.

However, it’s not eight games without a goal for the star – who will be desperate to find the back of the net.

Centre-forward: Roberto Firmino (7/10)

Firmino looked a lot better on Sunday and responded to some of the criticism of his play with a few lovely nutmegs in the first half. His link-up play with good and the Brazilian’s energy was improved, too.

This was really a day to be cherished for Liverpool.

Inside-right: Mohamed Salah (8/10)

Salah continued his fine run of form with an excellent finish for the first goal. The King was heavily involved in several good bits of play throughout the game and picked up an assist for Matip’s headed effort.
