RB – Trent Alexander-Arnold

The 22-year-old’s form has dipped a bit this season and he will be looking to put in a strong performance against Burnley this week. Alexander-Arnold has only two league assists this season so far and will be keen on increasing that tally on Thursday.

CB – Joel Matip

The Cameroonian was out of action for a while after sustaining an adductor injury against West Brom. However, he rejoined training before the United fixture and while he was unable to make the matchday squad for that fixture, there’s a very strong chance of him starting against the Clarets this week.

Provided he starts, Matip will be eager on making life difficult for the opposition attackers while trying to find the net from a corner as he did against Wolves and a few times last season.

CB – Fabinho

The Brazilian has been brilliant as a makeshift centre-back and put in a very good performance against Manchester United. Fabinho will undoubtedly partner Matip in the heart of the defence and will be expected to carry on his good form while also initiating attacks through his long balls.

LB – Andy Robertson

Unlike Alexander-Arnold, the 26-year-old has been brilliant this season, defensively and while going forward. Robertson has five assists in the Premier League in 20/21 so far which is more than any other Liverpool player. The Scotland skipper will be eager to increase that number while also being solid at the back.
