The only thing Liverpool appears to be substantially interested in in recent weeks is transfers, while the team’s performance continues to worsen as more embarrassing outcomes attempt to exceed the previous one every week.

With the Reds’ rising need for fresh acquisitions, the press stories continue to highlight the amount of players on their radar. In the upcoming months, Liverpool plan to make Jude Bellingham, N’Golo Kante, and Matheus Nunes some of their top targets.

During last season’s transfer window, there was increased speculation about the club’s interest in a significant Real Madrid star, and with all possibilities being weighed anew, the links have begun to resurface as the player continues to move away from the Merengues.

Real Madrid’s star is weighing his options, and Liverpool has expressed interest

According to Express, Marco Asensio’s representatives are traveling to London to meet with several parties interested in the Spaniard’s services as his future at Los Blancos becomes increasingly murky and unpredictable, with no concrete progress about a contract extension.

Real Madrid has yet to offer him a new contract, and his erratic performance raises legitimate concerns. The player is being watched by Arsenal and Liverpool and might be on his way to the Premier League, but whether the Reds should truly be interested in him is debatable.

After suffering a serious injury a few years back, the 27-year-old winger has struggled to have an effect at Real and hasn’t been able to start ahead of other players. His inconsistency raises even more suspicions, since little about his performances appears enticing or hopeful of what he may provide to Liverpool.

Furthermore, the player’s primary point of contention in his dispute with Real Madrid over an extension is that he reportedly wants a wage hike, which he would also seek from other teams in his pursuit.
