Liverpool’s signings this season haven’t really worked out as well as everyone associated with Liverpool would have hoped. Darwin Nunez still hasn’t settled in that well, we’ve seen flashes of Cody Gakpo’s form but he’s far from the player that the club paid all that money for, and there is one player who, surprisingly, hasn’t played a single minute for Liverpool in the Premier League this season.

Yes, you read that right.

Arthur Melo, a deadline day pickup in the summer, hasn’t really had a chance to show his worth. He’s had a rough career since his departure to Juventus, but he was hoping to pick it back up considering how bad Liverpool needed midfield reinforcement. But, there hasn’t been anything going his way so far.

Arthur Melo has picked up one injury after another, and until now, there had been no signs of progress for the Brazilian midfielder, who has only played 14 minutes in a Champions League game this season.

According to reports by Mail, Arthur has now returned to full team training. He completed all his sessions well, and showed no ill effects at all.

Arthur might not be the player that Liverpool need, but he certainly gives Klopp options for now

Liverpool have struggled a lot when it comes to midfield this season. Well, they’ve struggled everywhere, but I think the midfield is what really bothers them the most.

Arthur is not a fantastic player, but is decent enough to be a role player off the bench, and that’s what he should aim for when he makes his full return.

Liverpool will play a few Premier League games in February, and I think that the club will be able to provide him with some minutes leading into the business end of the season. And, who knows, maybe if he impresses the team, he might even get a few starts.
