After the lackluster January transfer window and ongoing criticism from supporters for not exploring big transfers, Liverpool has finally entered the transfer market with eyes wide open. It appears that the club has finally realized the team’s dismal form and recognized the necessity for a substantial roster revamp.

There aren’t many top players who are eligible for a move in the upcoming months that Liverpool isn’t keeping an eye on.

Everything is being evaluated at Anfield, from attacking alternatives to midfield restructures to defensive solidification, and the following months will undoubtedly be replete with big news.

Much attention is being placed on reconstructing the midfield, since it is widely acknowledged that the underlying reason of the disappointing season is a poor midfield lineup missing variety and creativity.

Many names are being considered to head the midfield makeover, including Jude Bellingham, N’Golo Kante, and Matheus Nunes. In addition to Kante, Liverpool is said to be interested in another Chelsea player with whom they are in regular dialogue.

Liverpool is hoping to take advantage of Chelsea midfielder’s transfer situation

Journalist Jacque Talbot reveals for Footballtransfer.com that The Blues midfielder Mason Mount has been in in direct contact with Liverpool about a possible summer transfer.

If the player is unable to reach an agreement with his present club on a contract extension, Liverpool will be more than ready to seize the chance.

The Englishman conducted negotiations with Chelsea in January, but nothing came of it. The London club is still desperate to get him to sign the agreement, but they have failed to persuade him so far.

Liverpool remains interested in the player, and being in close touch with him may give them an advantage in encouraging him to join them at Anfield. Direct negotiations also indicate that the player is not just interested in a contract extension at Chelsea and is open to a move to the Merseyside club.
