During the last several months, Liverpool has been seeking for new players on the market, hoping to find the ideal suitors to bring back the team’s long-lost freshness. This season, the midfield and attack have suffered considerably as both departments have failed in several areas.

While it is true that youthful prodigies like Stefan Bajcetic give Liverpool promise for the future, this cannot be seen as a total rejection of the truth that the Reds need new legs in the midfield right now. In fact, that’s the division that most desperately needs fresh signings.

Liverpool has been keeping a close eye on a number of talented midfield talents, like ace Jude Bellingham, N’Golo Kante, Mason Mount, and a few more. One of these players who had caught Liverpool’s attention has apparently been given the go-ahead by his current club.

Inter Milan keen to cash in on Croatian midfielder chased by Liverpool

According to a report from Milan-based publication Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Italian club has decided to sell its star midfielder Marcelo Brozovic following interest from several European clubs including Liverpool.

With Inter’s financial difficulties and the understanding that the team’s quality on the field hasn’t altered much in Brozovic’s absence, the Nerazzurri are thought to be ready to listening to offers for the Croatian.

The 30-year-old is also thought to be at odds with Inter, who are unhappy with how the player has maintained his health this season.

Taking all of the aforementioned factors into account, Inter Milan no longer regards Brozovic as an untouchable and indispensable player. They’ve decided that there are other players in their ranks who can take over his banner, so parting ways with him won’t be too difficult.

Liverpool, back in England, have long admired the Croatian midfielder. Brozovic is a very experienced creator who has been one of Inter and Croatia’s most remarkable players over the years, and in light of the Merseyside club’s current midfield issue, bringing him in may do a lot of good.
